How this guide works

This reference describes eighteen hotels in four groups. Each entry keeps to the building, its public rooms and what an intending guest may want to settle in advance. Nothing here is a recommendation, and no hotel is compared with another.

How the hotels were chosen

The four groups were fixed first, then hotels were placed in them because their buildings clearly belong to that kind. Nothing was chosen for popularity or price, and no operator asked to appear here.

Which sources are used

Descriptions come from open material: the hotel's own pages, published architectural writing and maps. Where a claim could not be traced to such a source, it was rewritten so that the sentence stays true without it.

How to read the winter section

Buildings in the ice section are made from ice and snow, stand for a single winter and are constructed again the following year. Their plans change every season. No dates are promised here; ask the hotel directly about the winter season and about which parts of the site are heated.

What is not here

There are no prices, no star bands, no scores, no room counts, no guest comments and no booking or partner links. Games, gaming floors and anything connected with them are not described. Availability, weather and access are matters for the hotel, not for this page.

Reporting an error

If something here is wrong or out of date, write to us through the contact page and name the hotel and the sentence. Corrections are made when a published source supports them.
